OUR THIRD BOOK:
Our most recent meeting was held at Tina's apartment in Millbrae - a bit of a trek north but the eerie wind and dark streets helped us set the theme for our next meeting (spooooky).  Attendance was low but the discussion lively.  Tina, Stella, Beth, Alenda and Bill Metzger were in attendance.  Our food theme was finger foods, or foods that could be eaten easily if blind.  We had bread with spreads, cut vegetables with dip, quesadillas, mini quiches, spicy potato samosas, and more!  We did, however, use our eyes, and thus avoided making a mess of Tina's otherwise spotless living room.

Notable points of the book were:
-allegory
-interesting paragraph structure (i.e. there were no breaks); long, fluid passages
-liked how the dialogue was handled
-not sure if we found it uplifiting, but parts sure were gross
-hard to place the time / setting
