Our meeting was at Sharon's house.
A couple of comments: This was one of our shortest meetings ever. We all liked the book, but read it over a 3 month period...many of us had forgotten key points. It was generally a good read and shocking to discover the conditions that Frank McCourt survived while growing up. Beth read the "sequel" 'Tis. She liked it and recommended it. Watch the movie!
Our traditional Irish food ranged from cranberry buttermilk scones to Guinness (thanks Dan!). At least it was far better than the scraps and poverty-level dining featured in the book itself!
